Stade now forms part of the Hamburg local traffic network (HVV). You can reach Stade by regional train (S3) or by Metronom (R50).

The regional train S3 runs hourly from Hamburg to Stade. During rush hour Monday to Friday it even runs every 20 minutes. By S3 you can reach Stade from Pinneberg via Altona, Landungsbrücken, Jungfernstieg, Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, Harburg and Buxtehude without having to change trains. In this way it only takes about 60 minutes to reach Stade from Hamburg.

The state-of-the art trains by Metronom Eisenbahngesellschaft mbH run every hour between Hamburg, Stade and Cuxhaven and ensure fast and efficient transportation. Nearly all trains run to/from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof with stops in Harburg, Buxtehude and Horneburg. By Metronom it is only a 50-minute-ride from Hamburg to Stade.

On weekends in the summer months you can also travel to Stade by Moor Express from Bremen via the Devil’s Moor (Teufelsmoor).
